Mary Dubon, MD, completed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and Pediatric Sports Medicine fellowships and, therefore, practices two unique subspecialties. Outside of medicine, she has extensive experience working with and advocating for individuals with disabilities. A dancer since childhood, she completed a Dance minor and has seen dance from the lenses of a student, performer, teacher, choreographer, director, and now, doctor. Her dance experience has driven her passion for caring for youth athletes and performing artists. Her experience working with and advocating for individuals with disabilities has driven her passion to care for the medical and rehabilitation needs of youth with disabilities. She also has a special interest in caring for youth Para/adaptive athletes.

In Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, her goal is to optimize the time her patients spend enjoying activities outside of clinic. She addresses medical concerns, but also discusses functional, recreational, and vocational goals, and strategies to help achieve them.

In Pediatric Sports Medicine, she examines the cause of the injury and looks for risk factors, such as muscle imbalances. Dr. Dubon targets therapy not only towards the injury but also the predisposing factors. This can help athletes become even stronger than their pre-injury selves while recovering.
