Health professionals have a major role to play in the work of local health departments. Many serve on the board of the department or in positions with other community organizations that have a major role to play in the health of their community, just as they do in the care of patients. Communities look to health professionals to help them understand and deal with public health problems in their communities. If we can help them and our state health department work to improve the community health status of Kentucky we are truly “stronger together”. These presentations represent efforts to provide continuing education to health professionals to help them with this task of making our Kentucky Community’s healthy and thriving.
