Shani Abramowitz has been the rabbi and spiritual leader at Ohavay Zion Synagogue since 2021.Originally from Chicago, Shani earned her undergraduate degrees from Brandeis University, and attended Rabbinical school at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, where she also received a Master's degree in Hebrew Bible.

Dr. Syed Ali is an Associate Professor at UK College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology and fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis. Passionate about community engagement, he serves as the chair of UK Muslim employee affinity group. Dr. Ali is a frequent speaker on Ramadan, presenting at various grand rounds and on podcasts. His interests include healthcare-related spirituality, faith-based discussions, and mental well-being.

Danielle Anderson, MD

Dr. Danielle Anderson received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina. She completed her Family Medicine residency in the University of Kentucky Family Medicine Rural Track at Saint Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky. She then completed her Addiction Medicine Fellowship in the University of Kentucky Department of Psychiatry where she now works as an Assistant Professor. She is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Anderson works in the department’s SMART clinic, a comprehensive substance use disorders clinic that provides addiction treatment, mental health services, and primary care. Dr. Anderson serves as a co-investigator on several projects investigating medications for the treatment of substance use disorders. Dr. Anderson enjoys educating medical students, residents, and fellows about providing safe, equitable, and stigma-free care for patients suffering from substance use disorders.

A passionate advocate for Preventive Cardiology, Dr. Haque seamlessly integrates this critical focus across every facet of the tripartite mission of academic cardiology—education, research, and patient care—transforming the future of cardiovascular health.

Dr. Haque’s career in medicine began at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Georgetown University, followed by a Cardiology Fellowship at Loyola University. Now serving as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology, Dr. Haque continues her commitment to Preventive Cardiology.

Dr. Haque is deeply committed to teaching the next generation of cardiologists, guiding residents and fellows with a patient-centered approach to cardiovascular prevention. Their influence extends beyond the classroom, serving as a mentor to aspiring students, instilling a foundation of excellence and innovation in those who will lead the field in the years to come.

In the realm of research, Dr. Haque is at the forefront of groundbreaking projects, including EXCEL HeartLens, a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing early detection and intervention strategies for cardiovascular disease. Through this and other ongoing studies, Dr. Haque is committed to shaping the future of preventive cardiology, ensuring that research findings translate into real-world clinical applications that improve patient outcomes.

As a practicing cardiologist, Dr. Haque embodies the principles of preventive care, empowering patients with evidence-based strategies to mitigate cardiovascular risk factors, optimize heart health, and enhance longevity. Michael Sibley, D.Min

Chaplain Michael Sibley is a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and a Licensed Pastoral Counselor in the state of Kentucky. He holds a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Divinity with a specialization in Urban Anthropology. He has completed three years of clinical residency and has served as the Chaplain of Eastern State Hospital since 2013. In this role, Mike offers spiritual and emotional support to inpatient psychiatric patients as well as serving as the manager of the staff support program. In addition to his work at ESH, he is also the integrative group therapist for an IOP. Over the years, Mike as worked in numerous areas of healthcare including, NICU, PICU, trauma, ED, ICU, transplant, oncology, and hospice. He has over 25 years of experience in volunteer and professional ministry with over 20 of those years in clinical roles.
