Needs Statement
Controlled substance prescribers and dispensers in Kentucky may not be fully aware of legislative changes affecting their use of the Kentucky All Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting (KASPER) system. This training is intended to provide medical professionals with a more comprehensive understanding of KASPER operation and features as well as to provide information on legislative requirements for registration and usage of KASPER.Target Audience
This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, and certified health education specialists.Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, you will be able to:
- Describe operation of the KASPER program.
- Discuss ways to use eKASPER more effectively.
- Explain legislative changes that affect health care providers' usage of eKASPER.
