Biosketch
From 1987 to 2007, Dr. Woodhouse served as the Director of the East Stroudsberg University of Pennsylvania Council on Education for Public Health-accredited MPH program in community health practice. her areas of expertise include public health systems, workforce development and evaluation reserach.
Dr. Woodhouse serves as the Principal Investigator on multiple evaluation research projects designed to illuminate risks, support vulnerable populations and enhance health equity efforts, most recently directing a statewide multi-site asthma intervention program. Her professional service includes terms on the Board of Councilors of the Council on Education for Public Health, the American Public Health Association Governing Council and the APHA National Education Board, as well as multiple appointed/elected positions with the National Society for Public Health Education.
Additionally, she is serving on the Strategic Planning group for the funded "Partner Up" advocacy campaign to improve public health in Georgia and the DPH Implementation Task Force for the Georgia Public Health Strategic Planning Group. Dr. Woodhouse has received multiple awards for her work in public health education research and workforce development. In addition, she is a Fellow of the Society for Applied Anthropology and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Public Health.
