Biosketch
Todd Milbrandt, M.D., graduated cum laude from the University of Puget Sound then obtained his medical degree from University of Virginia School of Medicine with a secondary degree of Masters of Science in Surgical Research. He completed his residency in orthopaedic training at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center then specialized in pediatric orthopaedics with training at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas.
He has been practicing at Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Lexington since 2005. His expertise is all aspects of pediatric orthopaedic surgery and complex spinal deformity and he is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also serves as the program director for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Milbrandt is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, Scoliosis Research Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Orthopaedic Association. He is active in the leadership of these societies as he has served as a national board member for the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and is currently the program chair for the annual meeting in 2014. He has been involved in both nationally recognized clinical and basic science research involving the growth plate, clubfoot and spinal deformity.
