Biosketch
Eric D. Endean earned his Doctor of Medicine and received his General Surgery training at the University of Michigan. His Vascular Surgery training was done at Loyola University in Chicago. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Endean has been on the faculty at the University of Kentucky since 1998 and is currently the Vascular Surgery Section Chief, an Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency, and is the Gordon L. Hyde Endowed Professor and Chair in Vascular Surgery. He has published over 100 articles and book chapters. He has a clinical interest in mesenteric ischemia with a number of his publications in this area. Dr. Endean is on the editorial board for the Journal of Vascular Surgery, is a past-president for the Southern Association of Vascular Surgery and is a consultant to the Vascular Surgery Board-American Board of Surgery. Outside of surgery, he is a triathlete, having completed numerous triathlons including the Louisville Ironman and Florida Ironman races.
