Biosketch
Dr. Berger is the Clinical Training Coordinator for the Owensboro-Greater Daviess County Clinical Education Center (CEC) based at Owensboro Medical Health System (OMHS). The CEC represents a partnership between the UK College of Pharmacy and OMHS, which offers students the ability to complete all of their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) in the CEC service area. Dr. Berger is responsible for oversight of the APPEs that are in the CEC. He additionally serves as a resource for preceptors and pharmacists in the CEC.
Dr. Berger currently serves as primary preceptor for the inpatient anticoagulation elective APPE and the Bluegrass Internal Medicine ambulatory APPE. He also serves as co-preceptor for the medication safety elective rotation at OMHS.
Dr. Berger assists with the anticoagulation section of the patient care lab for the third year pharmacy students at the College of Pharmacy campus in Lexington.
