Kyle Smoot, MD

Prior to joining UK HealthCare in 2015, Kyle Smoot was an Associate Professor at University of Iowa Health Care where he served as the founding Program Director of the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Sports Medicine Fellowship. At Iowa, also served as team physician to The University of Iowa Athletics Department including team physician and travel responsibilities to The University of Iowa Football program.
He received his medical degree from the Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio and completed a residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship training at UK. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Smoot is interested in all aspects of sports medicine and has specific interests musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures.
