Biosketch
Dr. Rushton completed medical school at the University of South Florida. His post-graduate training was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicines and the University of South Florida College of Medicine, in Tampa.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, subspecialty certification in Infectious Disease.
Dr. Rushton is a member of the American College of Physicians, Infectious Diseases Society of America, Society of Healthcare Epidemiologists of America, and the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
Patients most often seen include chronic and atypical infections and immunocompromised/immunosuppressed patients.
