Sergio C. Melgar, CPA

Sergio Melgar became the University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise chief financial officer (CFO)/vice president in March, 2005, after coming to the University of Kentucky in August, 2004, as the CFO for UK HealthCare. Prior to coming to Kentucky, he had served as the CFO for UCLA Medical Sciences in Los Angeles, California, since 1994. His experience also includes director of financial operations at Mercy Healthcare Ventura County in Oxnard, California, from 1992 to 1994, senior manager with Ernst & Young, LLP, in New York from 1987 to 1992 and as a manager with Arthur Andersen, LLP, of Chicago from 1981 to 1987.
