Biosketch
Dr. William Melahn has worked for St. Claire HealthCare since 1997 when he came as a National Health Service Corps scholar. He graduated in 1994 from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1997. In 2004, he was a winner of the AAFP Foundation/Pfizer Teacher Development Award. His professional interests include family-centered maternity care; child adolescent and college healthcare; medical informatics and evidence-based medicine; and doctor-patient communication. Dr. Melahn is CMO/Vice President of Medical Affairs at St. Claire HealthCare. He served as site director of the Family Medicine Residency Program until November 2010, and was presented with the Family Medicine Faculty Teaching Award in 2011.
