Gustavo Morales, MD

Dr. Morales earned an MD from the Catholic University of Guayaquil, Ecuador. He then completed cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, where he learned to treat the most complex heart rhythm conditions. Since 2009, Dr. Morales has been a key faculty for the Division of Cardiology at UK, starting the cardiac electrophysiology fellowship program, where he serves as the director.

Dr. Morales’ original research has been published in the top heart rhythm journals in the United States and Europe and he has participated in clinical trials involving the expansion of the indication for cardiac resynchronization in heart failure patients.
