Biosketch
Amber Lawson completed her Doctor of Pharmacy training at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2002 and went on to complete a Pharmacy Practice Residency and an Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Lucille Parker Markey Cancer Center at University of Kentucky HealthCare. After a two-year absence where she worked as a pharmacy hematology specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, she returned to Lexington and UK HealthCare. She has served as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in hematologic malignancies and hematopoietic cell transplantation, Clinical Coordinator for Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Services, and Program Coordinator for Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Services at UK HealthCare. She has been Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist for 13 years and is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the UK College of Pharmacy. She is actively involved in national hematology/oncology pharmacy organizations where she has served as committee chair for multiple committees and has delivered several regional and national presentations related to hematology/oncology pharmacy practice.
