Biosketch
Dr. Dearinger earned an MD from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Dearinger also completed an MPH degree at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health.
She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and General Preventive Medicine.
Special interests include public health systems and services research, preventive medicine, quality improvement, and resident education.
In her GME role, Dr. Dearinger focuses on enhancing institutional accreditation oversight in addition to developing tools to enhance GME programs’ accreditation data capture and analysis.
Dr. Dearinger helped create the Kentucky Public Health Research Network, the first public health practice-based research network in Kentucky. She also has been appointed to serve as a member of the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure.
