Biosketch
Rachel Jonas, MD, graduated from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 2018 and completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at University of Virginia, Charlottesville. She began practicing in Kentucky after completing her fellowship in Laryngology at the University of Washington, Seattle. As an otolaryngologist at UK Healthcare, she specializes in the medical and surgical care of patients with voice, airway and swallowing issues. Dr. Jonas is a fellowship-trained laryngologist specializing in complex pathology of the airway and the upper digestive system. As an ear, nose and throat doctor, she uses a variety of diagnostic techniques and performs in-office procedures and surgical interventions on the larynx, upper esophagus and trachea. She has peer-reviewed more than fifteen publications and presented over thirty oral and poster presentations throughout her career. Dr. Jonas, Assistant Professor and surgeon, works closely with other University of Kentucky HealthCare specialists and speech-language pathologists to deliver exceptional care to her patients.
