Biosketch
Dr. Alisha C. Morgan is a certified nurse-midwife who has dedicated more than two decades to the care of women and newborns. She earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Frontier Nursing University. She currently practices full scope midwifery care at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky. As a certified nurse-midwife, she has been the primary birth attendant for over 2,200 births and has supported over 5,000 women through labor and birth during the last 24 years.
Dr. Morgan is a Fellow of the American College of Nurse Midwives, is the Kentucky representative for the ACNM National Government Affairs Committee, and is a member of the board of directors for the
Kentucky Affiliate of the ACNM. She is the chairperson for the KyMMM Safe Reduction of NTSV Cesarean Births (SUCCESS) Committee and serves on the Kentucky Maternal Mortality Review Committee.
Dr. Morgan strives to increase public awareness of women’s health and is dedicated to improving outcomes for all populations of birthing people across the Commonwealth. She believes that every person deserves the best health care available and enjoys working in innovative ways to meet the unique needs of
underserved women in urban and rural communities.
