After graduation from the six years combined BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, I completed a Residency and 2-year Endourology Fellowship at the University of Kentucky. After my fellowship, I joined the University of Nebraska Medical Center as faculty. I quickly climbed the leadership ladder becoming residency program director for five years, and I currently serve as chief of the division of urology. I have been active in the South Central Section of the AUA, serving on numerous committees, four years as a Nebraska state representative on the Board of Directors, president-elect and scientific program chair, and currently President. I have been invited to give lectures and presentations for the North American Robotic Urology Symposium, the South Central Section of the AUA, and the AUA. I serve on numerous hospital committees, including chair of the robotic surgery steering committee and surgical operations committee for Nebraska Medicine. I am married and have two boys, 12 and 16. When not working, I enjoy training my three labrador retrievers, running retriever hunt tests, and hunting waterfowl and upland game.
