Biosketch
Robin Orlando-Price works at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services as the Administrator for Applied Learning and Development overseeing the DHS Collaborative for Applied Learning, Trauma and Technical Support (CATTS).
Ms. Orlando-Price promotes system transformation by fostering an agency-wide culture of learning and innovation that is steeped in best practice and adult learning principles. Prior to this position, Ms. Orlando-Price oversaw the cross-systems training and implementation of the TCOM assessments (CANS, ANSA, FAST) throughout Allegheny County. She also held the position of Director of Quality Assurance for Allegheny County System of Care Initiative (SOCI), a community-based system of care grant project for children and young adults with serious emotional disturbances and their families. In addition, Ms. Orlando-Price has spent several years in research concentrating in child development, mental health, and juvenile justice with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Western Psychiatric Institute.
Ms. Orlando-Price has held adjunct faculty positions at both Duquesne University and Gannon University where she taught sociology, cultural anthropology, and political systems. In addition, as an AmeriCorps volunteer, she taught adult basic education at the Allegheny County Jail. Ms. Orlando-Price has been involved with the family support movement and issues promoting literacy, housing, social justice, and cultural diversity.
Ms. Orlando-Price is a 1993 graduate of Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Political Science. In 1997, she received a master’s degree from Duquesne University’s Graduate School of Social and Public Policy.
