Biosketch
Dr. Jim Horn is a graduate from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Horn trained at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center; completing a four-year residency in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Horn began his administrative career in 2009 as the medical director
of a 65,000-visit emergency department; earning medical director of the year honors. Over time, he was named the Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations for his group. Oversight included emergency department throughput, quality, patient experience, medical staff and administrative relations, budgeting, and competing for new business opportunities. He has served on the Board of Directors for Ohio ACEP and his independent group. Additionally, he has spoken at multiple conferences regarding his expertise in these areas.
Dr. Horn has been with St. Elizabeth Healthcare since 2014, and he has served in the role of Vice President/Chief Quality Officer since 2016. Primarily working in the areas of quality improvement, quality management, patient experience, and patient safety, accreditation, and infection control; his teams work to partner with the entire system towards the goals of zero harm and high reliability.
Currently, Dr. Horn is board certified in emergency medicine, and he is a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is also an MBA graduate of the Wright State University Raj Soin College of Business, and he is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Professional.
