Sheila R. Botts, PharmD BCPP

Dr. Botts is a board certified psychiatric pharmacy specialist and provides medication management services for veterans receiving care at the Lexington VA mental health clinic as well as inpatient service. She directs the PGY2 residency training program in psychiatric pharmacy and also precepts PGY1 residents in area of psychiatry. She coordinates and teaches the psychiatry module in Integrated Therapeutics for doctor of pharmacy students and coordinates an elective in Chemical Dependency.

Dr. Botts is a founding member of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) and is currently President-elect of the organization (2006-2007). CPNP, founded in 1996, is committed to improving the lives of patients with mental illness through advanced pharmacy practice, education and research. Additionally, Dr. Botts is also active in both the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Society of Health-systems Pharmacists. She has served as Chair of the Psychiatry and Neurology specialty group for both organizations and has participated on multiple committees.
