Biosketch
Amit Arbune, MD, MHA, FACC, is a cardiologist specializing in cardiac care for cancer patients and advanced cardiovascular imaging.
Dr. Arbune received his medical degree from MGM Medical College in India. He holds a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Kentucky and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Northeast Ohio Medical University – St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Arbune completed his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University – MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as chief fellow, and an Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship and cardio-oncology training at Yale University – New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, CT.
Arbune has extensive experience in cardio-oncology and advanced cardiovascular imaging and has participated in numerous clinical research projects and presented at many national conferences. After coming to UK, Dr. Arbune established a robust cardio-oncology program in the Markey Cancer Center, which serves the cardiac needs of all cancer patients.
Arbune is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography and nuclear medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance, the Society of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography and the International Cardio-Oncology Society.
