Biosketch
Dr. Walton is a child welfare researcher with interests in program evaluations of health and social service interventions for children and families. He has experience working in hospital settings and community psychiatric services settings with adult and adolescent patient populations.
Dr. Walton earned an MSW and a PhD from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville where he focused on the study of addiction treatment. He has been credentialed with the Kentucky Board of Social Work as a Certified Social Worker since 2012.
His published research and scholarship has appeared in refereed academic journals such as Child Maltreatment, Social Work, and Social Work Practice in the Addictions.
