Erin Neward graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Sonography. She began working with The University of Kentucky in 2007 with the Ovarian Cancer Screening Program/OCSP. The OCSP has over 40,000 women involved in the study and screens 75 patients per day. During her time as the manager of OCSP, she researched fallopian tube detection with transvaginal ultrasound. She also implemented a study which would allow other universities to do Ovarian Screening following the UK model.
After 12 years of serving OCSP, she transitioned to Practice Manager for Chemo/Infusion, Precision Medicine, and Apheresis Clinic at the University of Kentucky. In her new role, she is facilitating the transition and expansion of the Markey Cancer Infusion center capacity by 150%. She is also excited about her additional role in the APP pilot program in the chemo/infusion suites.
Erin is passionate about serving cancer patients, and works enthusiastically with the APPs to better serve our community and help patients avoid urgent care or the emergency room.
