Biosketch
Dr. Pittman-Munke earned a PhD and MLS from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned an MEd and MSW from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio Texas.
She has served on the boards of many agencies from local to regional to state to national levels. She has thirty years in higher education in a variety of capacities; therapist for chronically mentally ill clients, program and organizational evaluation, and social work education consultant
Dr. Pittman-Munke has made numerous presentations at state and national professional conferences. Her professional expertise includes community organization, mental health, social work with children, distance education, rural social work, diversity, and family violence
Her clinical/professional focus is community organizing, parenting education, social work practice with children, adolescents, and chronically mentally clients, domestic violence, substance abuse prevention education, adolescent suicide prevention education training, social work education accreditation, and diversity issues.
Her research focus is social welfare history, social work education, and distance learning
