Biosketch
Danielle is the Disability Education Health Coach for the Human Development Institute at the University of Kentucky. She provides health coaching, education, and programming to individuals with disabilities and the communities that serve them across the state of Kentucky. She holds her bachelors degree in Exercise Science from the University of Mount Union along with her masters degree in health promotion from the University of Kentucky. She is also a certified health and wellness coach through WellCoaches, a nationally recognized coaching organization. Danielle works across multiple projects at HDI including Project CHEER funded by the Centers for Disease Control aimed to provide education and resources to the disability community, Project WellnessEdge funded by the Administration on Community Living which provides money and technical assistance to organizations across the state which promote recreation for individuals with paralysis, and The Mental Health and Developmental Disability National Training Center which provides education and resources to providers and community members about best practices related to co-occurring mental illness and developmental disabilities. Danielle aims to create an inclusive health coaching program for individuals with disabilities in order to help them build self-efficacy and foster habits towards living a holistically healthy lifestyle.
