Biosketch
Dr. Singh earned a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery, worked as a primary care physician in India, and was very closely associated with the various programs of the World Health Organization (WHO) such as Pulse Polio Program to eradicate polio, TB control program, and Maternal and Child Health and School Health programs. He also worked with Red Cross India to provide medical services to patients in the Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center, where a very high number of patients were diagnosed with Hep C and HIV.
Dr. Singh earned a MPH from the University of Kentucky College of Public Health and completed a National Fellowship in Patient Safety at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He is currently working with the Kentucky Department for Public Health as a Senior Epidemiologist for the HIV/AIDS Section and is mainly associated with CDC’s new initiative of HIV Cluster Detection and Response.
