Ronald R. Hathaway, DDS, MS, MS

Ron Hathaway, DDS, MS, MS is a Craniofacial Orthodontist and Professor in the Plastic Surgery Division at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He became a member of the American Cleft Palate- Craniofacial Association in 1979 as a Speech Pathologist and was the 2015 President of ACPA. His area of orthodontic expertise includes over 30 years in the diagnosis and correction of cleft palate and complex facial growth conditions. He has taught surgical-orthodontics, craniofacial growth and development and embryology in universities and initiated Craniofacial-Orthodontic Fellowship programs at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and at Indiana University. His research interests include inter-center comparison studies and audits of clinical outcomes in cleft care. He currently chairs the Global Cleft Team Network Task Force of the International Confederation for Cleft Lip and Palate and Related Craniofacial Anomalies to improve outcomes in all countries.
