I have always had a passion for travel and have been in all 50 states and about 20 countries. I was born in Dallas, Texas but have had the joy of growing up all over this beautiful country. I felt called to go into medical missions as a teenager. I received my MPH degree in international health from Loma Linda University, my medical degree from West Virginia University and did my family practice residency in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the last year as a chief resident. For 12 years, I lived in Mongolia as the medical adviser for JCS International, a consortium group of christian development agencies. I met my wife there, married in Mongolia and have 2 adopted children from the orphanage where she was working. We also have 2 adopted children from America and have had multiple foster care children over the years. We have recently moved to Kentucky and am practicing general family medicine with Jessamine Medical Center in Nicholasville. We love Kentucky and plan to have a mini-farm here eventually.
