Biosketch
Dr. Tyagi is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Kentucky, where he has been for the past eight years. He specializes in complex aortic surgery, while also performing the full spectrum of general vascular surgeries. His interests include clinical research, and he serves as the principal investigator for several industry-sponsored studies, as well as a physician-sponsored clinical trial. Additionally, Dr. Tyagi is a physician-scientist conducting research on the pathology of aortic aneurysms and dissections.
Dr. Tyagi earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Mississippi before attending medical school at the University of Louisville. He completed his general surgery training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City and went on to finish his vascular surgery fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
