Fadel Shammout, MD, FACOG

Dr. Fadel Shammout is an Assistant Professor of Medicine here at the University of Kentucky. He earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria, and his residency from Oakwood Hospital and medical centers in Dearborn, MI, Dr. Shammout has a major interest in leadership, he had served as a medical director for the certified midwives at UK, and a Chairman in his previous hospital, he is currently working on obtaining his Master of Business Administration, He has been a faculty for multiple family medicine and OB/GYN residencies, and last year he was awarded the UK faculty of the year by the family medicine residency program here at UK, Dr. Shammout practices a full OB/GYN scope but has a special interest in infertility, he has done multiple researches on this topic, and currently see patients at Good Samaritan clinic
