Biosketch
Professor Camm's research interests include clinical electrocardiology, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac arrhythmias, implantable devices for rhythm control, risk stratification for sudden death in patients with ischemic heart disease, for thromboembolism in patients with atrial fibrillation, and for ventricular arrhythmia in patients with cardiomyopathy and channelopathy, adverse cardiovascular events in new and old drugs, and anticoagulation.
Professor Camm holds the European Society of Cardiology Gold Medal. He is President of the European Heart Rhythm Association, a board member of the World Society of Arrhythmias, and a trustee of the Drug Safety Research Unit. He is president of the Arrhythmia Alliance, and founder and trustee of the Atrial Fibrillation Association.
He is editor-in-chief of Clinical Cardiology and EHJ-Case Reports and an editor of the European Heart Journal and the European Society of Cardiology Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine.
