Biosketch
Dr. Janowicz graduated from Indiana University and completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, where she currently serves as the ID Fellowship Program Director and the Medical Director of MATEC (Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center) Indiana.
As the division’s Key Clinical Educator, she is heavily involved in student and resident education for infectious diseases within the Department of Medicine. Dr. Janowicz has strong clinical interests in HIV care and research interests in the pathogenesis of Haemophilus ducreyi. Recently, Dr. Janowicz established emergency HIV treatment services and directed IUSM ID physicians who provided care to patients in Austin, Indiana, the rural town at the heart of the recent HIV outbreak in southern Indiana, in response to a request from the Indiana State Department of Health
She is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.
