Etsub Berhanu, BSE, MS

Etsub consults on intellectual property development for Brown’s Technology Venture’s Office. She is currently responsible for running research sessions with participants enrolled in the BrainGate2 pilot clinical trial and assists Brown’s Technology Venture’s Office with neurotechnology and other intellectual property matters.

Etsub received a BSE in Biomedical Engineering and a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. She earned an MS in Applied Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining the BrainGate2 research team, Etsub worked as a medical device patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She is a registered patent agent.
