Biosketch
Katie Wallace, PharmD received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University College of Pharmacy in West Lafayette, IN. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice and PGY2 infectious diseases specialty residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2015. Dr. Wallace works as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist at UK HealthCare where she provides care for patients on the infectious diseases consult service and serves on the antimicrobial stewardship team.
She is the PGY2 infectious diseases pharmacy residency program director and precepts students, PGY1, and PGY2 residents on service. Dr. Wallace also assists in teaching the infectious diseases elective. Her research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, rapid diagnostics, and gram-negative resistance. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy with added qualifications in infectious diseases.
