Biosketch
Sean P. Dineen, MD, specializes in the modern surgical treatment of tumors of the liver, pancreas, bile duct, stomach and upper gastrointestinal tract. He also sees patients with colorectal, neuroendocrine and other abdominal cancers with liver metastases. He is a part of a team at UK Markey Cancer Center dedicated to the multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. Dineen has a special interest in patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis and heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy treatment (HIPEC).
Prior to coming to UK, he completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He subsequently worked as a staff surgeon at the VA North Texas for 2 years. He then completed a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
