Biosketch
Dr. Kereiakes earned an MD and was valedictorian of his graduating class at the University of Cincinnati. He completed postgraduate training in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with cardiology fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Kereiakes is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
He has participated in over 1,300 clinical research protocols and has served as national/international principal investigator for more than a dozen pivotal trials for FDA device approval. Most recently he has been PI or Co-PI for the Dual Antiplatelet Therapy study as well as the EVOLVE II and ABSORB 3 trials.
Dr. Kereiakes’ research and clinical interests include coronary stent design and development, platelet inhibitor therapies and transcatheter heart valve replacement.
