Biosketch
Dr. Hermann earned a PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology. His medical interests include epilepsy in adults and children, Alzheimer's disease and preclinical conditions, and neuropsychological assessment.
Research interests are the progression of neuropsychological, psychiatric, and quantitative MRI abnormalities in patients with chronic epilepsies, status of cognition, psychiatric status and brain structure in new onset pediatric epilepsies, preclinical Alzheimer's disease, brain and cognitive aging in elders with chronic epilepsy,
neurocognitive effects of radiotherapy for cerebral tumors, neurocognitive effects of cerebrovascular disease, and effects of childhood epilepsy on brain and cognitive development.
Teaching interest is neuropsychological assessment (undergraduates, residents, fellows, and post-doctoral students).
