Biosketch
Dr. McTigue is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Interim Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine as well as the Medical Director for Pediatric Infection Prevention and Control at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Dr. McTigue earned his MD from New Jersey Medical School where he also completed a residency in General Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Since joining the faculty of the department of pediatrics in July 2013, Dr. McTigue has also served as the pediatric HIV provider for the Bluegrass Care Clinic where he sees infants born to HIV infected mothers for prophylaxis and screening and where he manages infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with HIV infection.
