Biosketch
Daniel O. Lee, MD, FAASM, FAAN, is Clinical Professor of Neurology and RPLP Course Director, University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Lee received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his Neurology training at the Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Additionally, Dr. Lee completed his training in Sleep Medicine at The Stanford University School of Sleep Medicine in Palo Alto, California.
He is board certified by the American Academy of Neurology and Psychiatry and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Lee is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and Psychiatry and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Additionally, he served as the President of Kentucky Sleep Society. Currently, Dr. Lee is the Vice President of the Kentucky Commonwealth Neurologic Society.
His major interest is the Circadian Rhythm Physiology and Pharmacology of Restless Legs Syndrome. Dr. Lee has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on the subjects of sleep apnea, and restless legs syndrome and served on the National Scientific Advisory Board of Restless Legs Research. He has received numerous teaching awards and has presented at various national and international conferences including the most recent the International Conference on Translational Research in Beijing, China and the 13th International Congress of Parkinson Disease and Movement Disorders in Paris, France. Dr. Lee is the 2019 recipient of the AOA Honor Medical Society faculty teaching award.
