Biosketch
Dr. Carman's research interests include community engagement, public health accreditation readiness, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice implementation. Dr. Carman is certified as a Human Resources Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a Healthcare Executive by American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and a Quality Improvement Associate by American Society for Quality (ASSQ).
Dr. Carman served as the CEO of Berea Hospital, in Berea, Kentucky, a critical access hospital.
Dr. Carman earned a BS in Business Administration at Berea College, an MBA at Eastern Kentucky University, and a DrPH from the University of Kentucky. She is certified as a Human Resources Professional by the Society of Human Resources Management, certified as a Healthcare Executive by the American College of Healthcare Executives and certified as a Quality Improvement Associate by the American Society for Quality.
