Biosketch
Amy E Dougherty has been a member of Bluegrass Elderlaw PLLC since 2012 Amy focuses her practice on assisting older persons in qualifying for Medicaid long term care using Wills PowersofAttorney Advanced Directives and Trusts She also advocates for clients before Social Security Medicare and Medicaid agencies and defends against involuntary dismissal from long term care facilities She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned her BA History and JD Degrees Amy is a member of the Fayette County Bar Association the Kentucky Bar Association Elder Law Section the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Special Needs Planners Amy serves on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit Life Plan of Kentucky Inc and is the chair of the Statewide Independent Living Council
