Biosketch
Dr. Belcher is an attending Emergency Medicine physician at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and works at UK Chandler hospital—a level 1 trauma center. He is also the Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine residency. He received his MD from the University of Kentucky and did an Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Kentucky. He was previously active duty Air Force in San Antonio working at Wilford Hall and Brooke Army Medical Center—the Department of Defense’s only level 1 trauma center. He was a member of the Critical Care transport and ECMO transport teams while on active duty. He deployed to the Middle East in support of OEF/OIF/OIR as a critical care transport physician and moved critically ill patients between the middle east and Germany via fixed wing transport. He works extensively in medical student and resident education and is the editor of the Approved Instructional Resources for Academic Life in EM.
