Biosketch
Chris brings more than twelve years of public health and healthcare experience to the Transplant Center with previous work as a consultant and program manager in both the public and private sectors. Currently, he oversees activities related to physician outreach, network development, and strategic market analysis for the Transplant Center. This includes developing, implementing, and directing all referral activities and initiatives. Chris frequently advises UKHealthCare leadership on market trends, various impacts of organ allocation/transplantation regulation, and facilitates multidisciplinary committees in order to evaluate and cultivate referral prospects.
Chris is also the lead administrator for one of UKHC's service line affiliate networks, the Organ Failure and Transplant Network. The Network partners with over 25 community hospitals, physician groups, and health systems in the region to provide more definitive care for patients with end stage organ failure.
Additionally, Chris manages marketing, PR, and community engagement activities on behalf of the Transplant Center in order to increase brand presence in Kentucky and contiguous states.
Previously, Chris lead the expansion and management of numerous partnerships at the Kentucky REC, including work with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services to implement state-level strategic plans for Health IT initiatives, the development of health system/primary care partnerships across the Commonwealth, and managed the implementation of a suite of integrated services for the twenty FQHCs across the state.
He earned a Masters Degree in Health Communication from the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Studies from DePauw University. Chris also holds credentialing with AHIMA, Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS).
