Sarah E. Heck, BA, MBA

After graduating from the University of Kentucky Magna Cum Laude, Sarah completed her MBA at UK. While in college she was a very successful retail manager and after college worked for the Kroger Company as a financial analyst for multi-million dollar projects. In 2009 Sarah returned to the University of Kentucky as a Service Line Financial Analyst and rose quickly to her current position as Senior Service Line Manager, where she is responsible for the management of all planning aspects for several key enterprise service lines. Sarah is also responsible for the development and maintenance of strategic plans for future service line growth, the cultivation and maintenance of business plans to support hospital operations, including physician recruitment, service line expansion, market position and outreach opportunities, and evaluation of capital expenditures. In addition to managing these highly complex roles, Sarah was also chosen to participate in UKHC’s Executive Leadership program, was awarded the Appreciative Inquiry Quilt of Teamwork Award from the Department of Nursing, and continues to contribute data and analysis toward poster presentations and research publications.
