Maintenance of Certification Part IV Program

Overview

On June 1, 2013, UK HealthCare CECentral was approved as a Portfolio Sponsor by the ABMS™ Portfolio Program to develop, monitor and approve quality improvement (QI) projects for MOC Part IV credit for actively participating UK HealthCare-affiliated physicians. The UK HealthCare (UKHC) CECentral MOC Part IV Program assists physicians in meeting MOC Part IV requirements for American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) member boards participating in the ABMS™ Portfolio Program. (See Resources for a list of participating ABMS boards.)

The UKHC CECentral MOC Part IV Program:

  • Focuses on requirements of participating ABMS boards for MOC Part IV practice performance assessment
  • Oversees documentation to assure that UKHC-affiliated QI projects meet these requirements
  • Approves Part IV credit and offers 30 PI CME AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (if applicable) for qualifying physicians actively participating in UKHC-affiliated QI projects as part of their routine work as well as other QI projects
  • Reduces the administrative burden for UK HealthCare-affiliated physicians seeking MOC Part IV credit as part of their recertification requirements with participating boards
