Michelle Lofwall, MD, DFASAM


Dr. Lofwall completed residency training in Psychiatry and a clinical research fellowship in behavioral pharmacology at Johns Hopkins University. The First Bridge outpatient opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment clinic provides comprehensive care to patients discharging from the emergency room and inpatient medical/surgical services. Her clinical research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and industry with a focus on improving treatment of substance use disorders. She was as an expert panel member on SAMHSA’s newly published Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP 63) for Medication Treatment of OUD, a board member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, an invited speaker to the National Academy of Medicine, and recipient of several medical student teaching and mentorship awards.
