Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe at least two impacts of grief on oncology healthcare workers.
  • Discuss how the model program, Remembrance and Renewal, addresses grief, compassion, fatigue, and burnout in healthcare workers.
  • Identify methods to implement a grief program in the workplace.
  • Explain the importance of communication between dietitians in the inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Discuss ways to have difficult conversations with patients, caregivers, and medical providers.
  • Improve education with patients and caregivers on nutrition support options setup with medical suppliers
