Overview
Stroke is a critical medical emergency that requires urgent attention and specialized knowledge to minimize its devastating effects. Efficient systems of care, including rapid recognition, diagnosis, and treatment, are essential for optimal patient outcomes. However, there are practice and knowledge gaps in stroke care, such as delays in symptom recognition, limited access to specialized stroke centers, and variations in treatment protocols among healthcare providers. Addressing these gaps through education can significantly enhance stroke management (ensure timely and effective stroke care), reduce long-term disability and mortality rates.
