Overview
The purpose of the Harm Reduction Summit is to provide the opportunity for officials to learn about harm reduction/disease prevention strategies and to share best practices with participants to broaden the impact of harm reduction operations throughout Kentucky. The Summit is open to intra/inter-state Public Health Professionals, Healthcare Professionals, First Responders, Local and State Government Officials, Educators, Community Leaders, Local Health Department Board of Health Members and other professionals who work in Harm Reduction. The summit will highlight best practices, statutes, and policies related to implementing and maintaining harm reduction programs throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Summit, will focus on Harm Reduction, disease prevention including Hepatitis C (HCV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV)/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), opioid use disorder, substance use disorder (SUD), neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), suicide prevention, and other Harm Reduction-related topics.
